New Westminster – On April 22nd New Westminster Police Department officers learned that a video camera had been found inside the Upper Hume Park men’s changeroom. According to the caller, the camera was discovered under a bench inside the men’s changeroom. New Westminster Police Department officers attended Upper Hume Park and searched the changerooms. The found camera was made available to officers and it was seized for processing.
This investigation is ongoing and police are encouraging the person responsible to turn themselves in to police.
“We understand how upsetting and disturbing this discovery is for park users,” stated Sergeant Justine Thom. “Our team is reviewing evidence and working to find who is responsible.”
