Update – We’re happy to share that Josephine who was reporting as missing has been found and is safe. Thanks to those who helped in searching for her.
New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department is asking public assistance in finding high risk missing person Josephine.
Josephine is unfamiliar with the Metro Vancouver area and may appear lost or confused. She does not speak English and communicates in Kinyarwanda. She was last seen February 20 at approximately 8:00am leaving a residence at 6th Street and 3rd Avenue. At the time, Josephine was wearing a black winter coat and black boots. Josephine is described as 73 years old, with short black hair, and glasses.
“Josephine’s friends and family are very concerned for her well-being,” stated Sergeant Andrew Leaver. “We urge anyone who may have seen her to contact us immediately. Your help could make a crucial difference.”
